3/7: Pune Tourist Board

Julie took this photo last August when we visited Pune on holiday and it has been sitting in our digital camera ever since. We had lived and worked in Pune, India for over five years running a Lotus Notes Software Company but returned home to England in January 2005.

Riverside Beautification Project Work is in Progress

I'd hate to have seen it before they started making progress ....

Hi Robin,

We have a folktale here in India.

There was an old wise woman who hated to die. One night, the lord of death appeared in her dream and told her that he would come to take her life next day. The old woman was wise . She played a trick! she wrote on the wall of her House....

O Lord of death ...... I have some urgent work today. Please come tomorrow and I will willingly come with You ;-)

This board in Pune is indeed of that sort :-))

warm reagrds

Thanks for your message Satyen. We had some good times in Pune and - despite that photo - there are some beautiful areas too!

Hi, excuse me for asking, but are you the Rob Wills who used to work for Babcock Contractors in Crawley?

I'm not into comuters these days, but a little bird told me you were living in India

Oops! I meant to say I'm not into comPuters! (One of my cats is a laptop cat, hence keyboard a bit sticky!)

Yeah Martin, one and the same. We're now living near Ashbourne, Derbyshire just next to the Peak District. I'll send you an e-mail.
